Big Meadow Hike Rainout and Critters

The hike we planned to take around Big Meadows Reservoir was a rainout...

After the rainout, we decided to drive around. We found a few interesting critters. We went five miles up a jeep road in our 2WD Durango. It was what you would call a white-knuckler for Sonya. We kept looking for a sign that said, "This ain't the road you wuz lookin' fer!" I kept hearing Dueling Banjos, the song from Deliverance, playing over and over in my head. "Hey, boy..." :-O

  2. Those pictures are fun to look at. The animals are awesome. Why was the road so bad? Was it bouldery or was it precipisy? Still enjoying all the pics. George was in the ER all day today with PVC's and elevated temp. The temp came down to normal and the PVC have settled down. Thank you Jesus. Tomorrow we meet with the Dr. at 9:00.

  3. It was both bouldery and precipisy... ;-) We've been having lots of fun. It's been raining a lot the last few days, though. Give George a big hug from all of us. We'll see y'all soon.
