Old Mines above Creede

We started our day with a fantastic lunch at Mac's Old Mine, a greasy spoon bar & grill on the main street in Creede, an old mining town. Afterwards, we went on a rockhounding expedition on East Willow Creek Road above Creede. We didn't have much success finding any amethyst, so we decided to take the Bachelor historic loop tour. Above are a few pictures from the trip. We finshed up our Creede trip with a stop at an artesian well near the highway, a favorite refresher for us when we pass this way.
