After the visit to Fort Garland, we took a detour to Zapata Falls. It's a half-mile uphill hike to the falls, but well worth it. The falls are hidden in a small-ish canyon. We had to wade in the creek to see the falls. That water was COLD!
On our way home, we saw some of the most beautiful sunlight displays, with rays shining through clouds and a gorgeous, bright double rainbow. If you click the picture above, you may see as many as thirteen ribbons of color. These pictures are only a glimpse of the real display!
Oh my goodnes those pictures of the rainbow remind us of the promises of God. Those are some of the most awesome rainbow pictures I have ever seen. Did you enhance them? Or is that the finger of God? It seems as though y'all are leaving nothing undone. That is great making many memories. School is gearing up and soon we will be in our routine Lord willing. Keep sending those pictures.

Turns out the name of the church in the rainbow picture is "New Hope." We can all use some of that!
ReplyDeleteIt is time for a Colorado coffee table book of pictures. The rainbow is phenomenal!
ReplyDeleteI would say I am jealous, but at least I know someone who is seeing all of this stuff in person.
Continue having fun and seeing the sites. God Bless. George.
P.S. Like the name Mountain Man.
Hey Guys! Wow! What awesome pics! Those rainbow shots could win an award for sure! I just love Colorado. When we were up there in Feb. we saw a triple rainbow at a high altitude about 9500 ft. We stood in awe, but the pics did not come out! We were so disappointed! But these, they are spectacular.
ReplyDeleteSounds like ya'll are having a rip-roaring good ole' time! Momma called me and said to take a look at your blog and I am so glad I did! She said that the pictures were so awesome that it was like she was there!
Tell everyone I said "HI"!
