After work today, we decided to take another trip like last year to the ridge behind the Coller State Wildlife Area on the Rio Grande. After crossing the Rio Grande on the Upper Coller bridge, we began our 4x4 trip on County Road 432, with numerous switchbacks and interesting obstacles. There is a beautiful, mature aspen grove on the way that provided for some nice pictures and fun four-wheelin'. We arrived at the Elk Creek ridge, took a few pictures and walked a bit. We then traveled to the "end of the road" at an Elk Creek Ranch fence! It was a fun evening jaunt!!
